Booking software for event venues.
A Saturday holds more than one booking: setup, the event, clear-down, and the couple who asked you to keep the date until Friday. Your calendar should know all of it.

What it fixes
A hold on a sticky note lost out to a paying client.
Holds that really block the dateA hold reserves the space until the date you set, then releases or becomes a booking without retyping it.
An afternoon meeting ran into the wedding clear-down.
Setup and clear-down timeTime before and after stays attached to each event, even when its date moves.
The hall and the garden were each booked by different people.
Every space on one calendarSee each room and outdoor space separately or together, and book spaces that combine.
Nobody remembers when the balance is due.
Deposits and balancesDeposit and balance dates tied to each event, paid through a hosted checkout.
Event details are scattered across email threads.
One record for each eventGuest count, layout, vendors and notes in one place for whoever’s working that day.
Tour requests get lost between calls.
An inquiry listWebsite and phone inquiries in one list, each ready to turn into a hold.
Built on working software
The rule underneath this is already built. In the Piney Grove reservation app, a lot can only belong to one reservation each night, and closures block the calendar just as a booking does. A space and a time of day work the same way.
For a venue, holds, setup time and event details all work around that same rule.

Questions you might have
Can a hold expire by itself?
Yes. You set the date, the system reminds you, and the space opens back up when the hold runs out, unless you’ve turned it into a booking.
Can it handle spaces that combine?
Yes. If the hall and the loft can be booked together, booking both blocks each one, and booking either blocks the combination.
Can clients see or sign anything?
A client page for details, deposits and documents can be part of the scope. I’ve built private customer pages and hosted payment flows for other businesses.
When should I buy something instead?
If you mainly want event planning, floor plans and client documents, a venue system such as Planning Pod may be the better buy. Custom makes sense when your spaces, packages or way of holding dates don’t fit one.
I’ll tell you plainly if that’s the better choice for you.
Tell me how your bookings work.
Rough is fine. You’ll get a straight answer on whether custom software makes sense.
